Few sights in the rainforest are more astonishing than that of a large dinosaur-like lizard racing across the surface of a river or pool. But the brown basilisk or Jesus lizard has evolved the extrordinary ability to do just this.

The three week struggle to obtain the photograph was worth it as it inspired two scientists at Harvard to investigate this apparently gravity defying act - the scientific explanation taking too long to expalin here!
